EASTON, Pa. – Four-time All-Patriot League First-Team selection Matt Smalley '16 has signed a contract to play for the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football League. Smalley is looking to continue his career after attending the N.Y. Giants training camp last year.

The Philadelphia native was a standout cornerback and kick returner. In his senior season of 2015, he started nine games and finished with 44 tackles and an interception on his way to All-Patriot League First-Team honors, one of just three players in conference history to acquire first-team four times.

For his career, Smalley played in 42 games with 30 starts. He totaled seven interceptions and is part of a select group of players to earn varsity letters in every season on College Hill. In 2013 and 2014, he was a first-team selection at defensive back and in 2013 he added first-team honors at return specialist after finishing eighth in the nation in kick return yardage.
