Opening Tip
- The Leopards travel to West Point to play in their second "Youth Day" game in three games, having played at Colgate last week.
Â
- Last time out, sophomore
Natalie Kucowski recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 18 points and 14 rebounds in a losing effort to Patriot League favorite Bucknell. She also dished out three assists in the game and added on to her conference lead with a rejection.
Â
- The matchup places the conference's best rebounding team up against the team that allows the fewest rebounds per game. Lafayette pulls in 42.1 a contest while Army is limiting opponents to just 34.6 an outing.
Â
- Lafayette will remain on the road as it travels to Loyola on Saturday before returning home for "Youth Day" on Jan. 23 when Navy comes to town for the first of two meetings.

Â
All-Time Series
The matchup dates back to the 1983-84 season with the Black Knights holding a 40-24 advantage overall.Â
Â
Last Meeting
Army completed the season sweep of Lafayette in 2017-18 when it defeated Lafayette, 48-39.
Â
Each team struggled offensively as the Leopards shot just 32 percent from the floor and Army was even less efficient at 28 percent.
Â
Hovren led all scorers with 15 points and 16 rebounds for a double-double.
Â
A Long-Distance Battle
Sophomores
Olivia Martino and
Drew Freeland have been going back-and-forth on the all-time Lafayette 3-point field goals list this season.
Â
Martino sits in 16th with 51 in her career while Freeland is currently tied with Brya Freeland '15 with 50. Next in the ranks is April Shippee '99 who hit 55 in her career.
Â
The duo passed teammate
Sarah Agnello earlier this season. Agnello has 47 makes from deep in her career, putting her in 19th place.
Â
Efficiency Too
Along with climbing the 3-point field goals chart, Freeland and Martino would rank No. 1 and 2, respectively, on the all-time 3-point field goal percentage list. Freeland is shooting 39 percent from beyond the arc in her career and Martino is a 37 percent career shooter from deep.
Â
The current No. 1 is

Â
50 Rebound Games
Lafayette has pulled in 50-plus rebounds four times this season after doing so zero times in 2017-18. The last time a Lafayette team has had multi 50-plus rebounding games was in the 2013-14 season when it occurred seven times. Before this season, the last time the Leopards had a 50-plus rebound game was the opener of the 2016-17 season at La Salle.
Â

Â
Wanted For Stealing
Kucowski had a career-high seven steals against Holy Cross as part of the Leopards' season-high 15 steals against the Crusaders. It was the most thefts by a Lafayette player since Jamie O'Hare had nine against Bucknell in the 2015-16 season.
Â
Free Throw Success
The Leopards shot it over 80 percent from the free throw line for just the second time this season against Lehigh. In the game, Lafayette was 9-of-11 from the stripe and 7-for-7 in the second half.
The other game was at Manhattan when Lafayette was 19-of-23 (83 percent), its season high on the year. Surprisingly, the Maroon and White is 0-2 on the year when shooting above 80 percent at the line.
