EASTON, Pa – The Lafayette men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw in double overtime as they tied with Stony Brook for their second tie of the season but remaining unbeaten at Oaks so far this season.
"I don't think there are too many teams in the country that can put nine different starters out and get a shutout and get the result and play as well as we did and have a chance to win," head coach
Dennis Bohn said, "I couldn't be prouder."
Lafayette (8-3-2, (4-1)) and Stony Brook (3-8-3, (0-3)) stayed in a strong defensive battle throughout the entire game with each team only taking 25 shots total between the two. Lafayette totaled five on goal while Stony Brook totaled three.
The Leopards were led by senior
Diego Gomera-Tavarez, senior
Adam Bramson and sophomore
Jack Cisneros who each played all 110:00 minutes of action. Cisneros recorded three saves and his first shutout of the season. Bramson also recorded two shots on goal tonight
Up next, the Leopards are back in conference action welcoming American to Easton for a noon matchup.
