Women's Soccer

Women's Soccer Welcomes Marist on Sunday

Leopards face Red Foxes in final non-league match of the season

* Lafayette will play its second home game of the 2019 regular season Sunday on Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium when they welcome Marist. The Leopards have played six of seven on the road, including five straight. Head coach Mick Statham's squad will now close out September with three home contests.

* This will be the first meeting with the Red Foxes since 2011. Lafayette won the first head-to-head in 1995 and Marist has won the last four. The Leopards are coming off a road win at St. Peter's on Wednesday and Marist lost to Maine 2-1 on Thursday despite outshooting the Bears 12-6.

* The Leopards have generated much offense in the last few weeks, reigning Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week Krista Kissell and Katie Butler each had a pair of goals against the Peacocks on Wednesday. Kissell and Patriot League Midfielder of the Week, Sophie Saldivar, are near the top of the PL in several offensive categories.

* Lafayette has deployed a time share arrangement in goal throughout the first seven games. Maggie Pohl has a GAA of .57 and she and Natalie Neumann are both in the top three in PL save percentage.
