Women's Soccer to Host Bucknell in PL Opener

Leopards will try to extend win streak to three on Saturday

* Lafayette will play its inaugural Patriot League contest of the 2019 season Saturday on Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium when they square off against Bucknell. The Leopards have won two straight and are 3-1-1 in the month of September. The Bison are 1-4 in the same time period and both teams have lost to nationally-ranked Georgetown (#12) in recent weeks.

* Bucknell holds the advantage in the all-time series, but the Leopards won the most recent meeting 2-0 in Lewisburg, Pa. Alli Munro and Katie Butler each netted goals in the 2018 victory against the Bison and GK Maggie Pohl recorded four saves in the shutout.

* Three Lafayette student-athletes have received weekly award honors from the Patriot League this month. Rebecca Schreiner and Sophie Saldivar have been recognized as Midfielder of the Week and Krista Kissell received Offensive Player of the Week laurels. Saldivar and Kissell are both ranked in the top-5 in PL goals and points.

* Kelly (Kuss) Cook is in her fifth season as the head coach of the Bison. She is a former standout player at Colgate and was the MVP of the 2004 Patriot League Tournament.
