Women's Soccer to Square Off Against Lehigh on Saturday

The Leopards will look to earn first PL win against the rival Mountain Hawks

* The annual rivalry meeting with Lehigh on Saturday afternoon has increased importance after each team dropped their Patriot League openers on Sept. 21. The Leopards lost a 2-1 affair to Bucknell, despite outshooting the Bison 17-8. The Mountain Hawks fell 1-0 to Loyola Maryland on a goal by the Greyhounds in the 70th minute.

* Lehigh leads the all-time series, but the last Lafayette victory was a big one when Joanna Scotti ('17) scored with one minute remaining in the second overtime to give the Leopards a 1-0 win and their first-ever Patriot League tournament victory on Nov. 1, 2016.

* Three Lafayette student-athletes have received weekly award honors from the Patriot League this month. Rebecca Schreiner and Sophie Saldivar have been recognized as Midfielder of the Week and Krista Kissell received Offensive Player of the Week laurels. Kissell is tied for the Patriot League lead in points with nine.

* Sophomore Riley Dowd scored her second goal of the season in the loss to Bucknell and nearly came up with the equalizer late in the contest when her header off a free kick from Kissell was just wide to the left.
