Worchester, Mass. – The Lafayette men's soccer team defeated Holy Cross in double overtime on Saturday afternoon to win its second straight Patriot League game.

After the Crusaders took the lead in the 58
th minute, it would be senior

Marcos Kitromilides. Bramson's second goal of the season would send the game into overtime.

The first 10 minutes of overtime was dominated by the Leopards with them taking the only shots on goal. Neither team was able to find the back of the net, sending the game into a final overtime.

Most of the second overtime went the same way as the first did, with Lafayette taking shot after shot on the Crusaders goal. But it would be Gibson who netted the golden, game-winning goal with less than a minute remaining in the game to give the Leopards the 3-2 victory. The goal was Gibson's second of the season. Â

Gibson and Bramson both led the way for the Leopards with five shots and one goal each. Sutton totaled four saves.

The win this afternoon pushes the Leopards to two conference wins and six overall, already one more wins than last year in both categories.
