Baseball Heads to North Carolina for Series with Davidson

Lafayette won the last meeting in 2018

*Lafayette is coming off a 10-1 loss to Rider on Wednesday afternoon in its 2020 season home opener. Senior Trey Durrah led the way for the Maroon and White, going 1-for-4 from the plate with a solo home run. They now stand at 2-5 on the season.

*Sophomore Dylan Minghini still leads the way for the Leopards at the plate, batting .321 with six RBIs, nine hits, a double and two home runs.

*Davidson leads the all-time series 12-8. The last time the Leopards took down Wildcats was in 2018 by a 6-3 final in Davidson, North Carolina.

*The Wildcats come into this weekend's with a 7-1 record. Prior to their loss on Wednesday, the Wildcats opened up the season 7-0 for the first time since 1907.

*The Wildcats are led by senior Brett Centracchio who is batting .429 with nine RBIs, one double, one triple and three home runs. On the mound, the Wildcats are led by sophomore Gabe Levy who holds a 0.00 ERA and a 2-0 record.

*Friday's first pitch that was originally scheduled for 6 p.m., has been moved up to a 5:30 p.m. first pitch. Both Friday and Sundays games will be shown on ESPN+.
