Track and Field sets new high with 76 PL Academic Honor Roll selections

40 women, 36 men stand out in the classroom

EASTON, Pa. — The Lafayette College track and field team set a new program record by having 76 student-athletes qualify for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

The Leopards' 76 honorees — 40 of them being from the women's team and 36 being from the men's squad — surpassed the program's previous record of 56 set last year. Before having over 70 selections for the first time, the Leopards only had 50 or more honorees four times (2012, 2016, 2018, and 2019) in program history.

Nineteen student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, including Tyler Hubeny '20, Kate Mozzochi '20, Rosario Rivera '20,  rising seniors Ryan Branch, Samuel Fishbein, Danny Hullihan, rushing juniors Brian Clayton, Dylan Drescher, Julia Eustace, Tim Larsen, Arielle Sclar, rising sophomores Alexandra Borik, Elizabeth Harmon, Annie Hathaway, Rachel Hurley, Andrew Massaro, Bobby Oehrlein, and Devin Rosmarin.

In order to be considered for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and take part in one of the League's winter or spring championship sports.
