CHESTER, Pa. – Senior Nava Chevan enjoyed a strong performance at the Widener Final Qualifier at Widener University's George A. Hansell Track on Monday afternoon.

The Florence, Mass. native claimed the Lafayette school record in the 800 meters for the fifth time this season. Chevan's new time of 2:06.19 is 0.06 seconds faster than her previous record from the Patriot League Championships. Not only did she break the school record, but she also took home the victory in the 800 meters as well.

Chevan has competed in the 800 meters five total times in the outdoor season and has broken the school record, her own record, each race: Bison Outdoor Classic, Virginia Challenge, Patriot League Championships prelims and finals, and Widener Final Qualifier.
