BOSTON, Mass. – Track and field closed out the Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championships at Boston University on Sunday with the men ending in eighth and the women in ninth.
Freshman Kennedy Miller claimed No. 5 all-time at Lafayette in the shot put with a final put of 44', finishing eighth overall. Classmate Ava Reese managed 17th in the shot put (41' 6").
Freshmen Sophia Agner and Madeline Dudley took home 13th (5'1") and 15th (5' 1") in the high jump, respectively. Dudley also collected 11th in the pentathlon with 2,909 points.
The team of freshmen Faye Carnemolla, Katelynn Barthold and Maeve McNamee and senior Elena Malone snagged No. 5 all-time in the women's distance medley relay with a time of 12:06.64, finishing ninth.
Junior Gabby Buber, freshman Lilly Bradfield and seniors Maeve Waldron and Alexa LaSasso reeled in eighth in the 4x400-meter relay with a final time of 3:55.06.
For the men, the team of seniors Roman Conca, Titan Casey and J.P. Pfisterer and junior Alexander Caba took home fourth in the 4x400 relay, achieving No. 2 all-time (3:16.21).
Sophomore Alec Miner, freshmen Baker Pott and Hunter Parsons and senior Quinn Worrell captured No. 3 all-time in the distance medley relay, ending with a time of 9:59.91 and ninth place.
Senior Cole Chukoskie finished 19th in the 3000 meters, crossing the finish line at 8:31.14.
Senior Liam Sawian scored for the Leopards in the heptathlon with 4,749 points and seventh place.
In the field, junior Ivan Tejada claimed eighth in the shot put (51' 11") while senior Liam Downey threw 43' 7" in the shot put for 14th.
Sophomore Kaseme Leckie took home 11th in the high jump, leaping 6' 1.25". Junior Andrew Harrison and freshman Justice Larkin collected 15th (44' 9.5") and 16th (42' 2") in the triple jump, respectively.
The Maroon and White will begin the outdoor track and field season on March 20-21 at the Bob Davidson Team Challenge at High Point University.
