EASTON, Pa. – Track and field hosted the Leopard Invitational on Saturday at Metzgar Fields Athletic Complex with the men's and women's teams combining for 18 event wins and two Lafayette All-Time Top-10 performances.
In the field for the men, sophomore Jack Larson claimed No. 7 all-time in the pole vault with a 15' 7.75" vault, collecting the victory. Senior Benjamin Hill and junior Elliott Godin finished second (15' 1.75") and third (14' 2") in the pole vault, which was held at Kirby Sports Center. Junior Andrew Harrison enjoyed second and third-place finishes in the triple jump (39' 9.25") and long jump (20' 2.25").
Senior Bobby McClosky captured the victory in the javelin with a final throw of 180' 9". Sophomore Javin Petry garnered first in the hammer throw, throwing 167' 7" followed by junior Jared Googel in second with a 158' 6" throw. Junior Ivan Tejada achieved the win in the shot put (50' 6.75") as well as second and third in the discus (144' 11") and hammer throw (150' 4"). Classmates Jack Paradis and Niko Williams snagged second and third in the shot put (46' 11.75") and discus (144' 7").Â
Running the 3000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Cole Scattergood reeled in the victory with a final time of 10:08.64. Freshman Ethan Buck crossed the finish line third in the steeplechase with a time of 10:52.84. Sophomore Josh Wagner and senior Cole Chukoskie finished second (4:15.46) and third (4:17.58) in the 1500 meters.
Senior J.P. Pfisterer earned second in the 400 meters, finishing with a time of 50.03. Classmate Zachary Barban claimed third with a final time of 51.20. Senior Roman Conca took home second in the 200 meters (22.21) while junior John Liedtka ended in second in the 100 meters (11.04). Freshman Justice Larkin garnered second in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing in 15.19.
The team of Conca, junior Alexander Caba, sophomore Kaseme Leckie and junior Harrison Rosen won the 4x100-meter relay with a final time of 42.35.
In the field for the women, freshman Brooklyn Genduso secured No. 9 all-time in the pole vault with a 11' 5", taking home the win. Sophomore Bridget O'Mara followed with a second-place finish in the pole vault (11' 3"). Classmate Leah Rudolph enjoyed the victory in the long jump with a 16' 7.75" final jump.Â
Freshman Madeline Dudley and sophomore Anaya Brown placed second (15' 9.75") and third (15' 4.75") in the long jump. Brown also secured second in the triple jump (33' 10"). Freshmen Sophia Agner and Mia Callahan reeled in first (5' 0.5") and third (4' 6.75") in the high jump, respectively.
Freshman Kennedy Miller had a banner day, finishing first in the hammer throw (156' 7"), first in the shot put (40' 7") and third in the discus (111' 5"). Senior Zoe Krumwiede claimed second in the hammer with a 147' 4" final throw. Freshman Ava Reese took home second in the shot put (39' 8") and discus (121' 4") and sophomore Kristin DeBolt collected third in the shot put (35' 10.75"). Juniors Marin Rosser and Maddie Still captured first (121' 1") and second (113' 3") in the javelin.
The team of juniors Madeline Convy and Gabby Buber, senior Maeve Waldron and sophomore Lily Jenkins snagged the victory in the 4x100-meter relay with a final time of 51.02.
Freshmen Farrah Dello Russo, Katelynn Barthold and Faye Carnemolla and sophomore Jamie Gorman garnered first place in the 4x400-meter relay, finishing with a time of 4:13.29.
Freshman Maeve McNamee achieved first in the 3000 steeple with a final time of 11:36.78 followed by senior Carolina McCloskey in second (12:02.63) and sophomore Eleni Smith in third (12:28.05). Freshman Zoe Cimo earned second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:24.55. Barthold and Carnemolla took home first (1:01.12) and second (1:01.41) in the 400 meters.
Convy reeled in the win in the 200 meters, finishing with a time of 26.33. Waldron and Buber ended in second (12.75) and third (12.76) in the 100 meters, respectively. Sophomore Iyun Franklin-Ayeni crossed the finish line second in the 100-meter hurdles with a final time of 15.74.
On Apr. 4, Maroon and White will head to the All-American Meet at East Stroudsburg and the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton.
