Kitromilides Earns Academic All-Patriot League Laurels

The senior led the Leopards in goals this season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Senior Marcos Kitromilides was named to the men's soccer Academic All-Patriot League Team, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
 
To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must have a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and be a key player or key reserve on their team.
 
The Economics major has been named to the Dean's List four times and maintains a 3.65 GPA. Kitromilides led the Leopards with eight goals and one assist for 17 total points (5 GWG). He was also named to the All-Patriot League First Team on Friday after ranking second in the league for total goals.
 
The Nicosia, Cyprus native is an active participant in the Earn Your Spots Book Club which was created by the men's soccer program. The club strives to promote advancements in literacy among children in the Easton community. Participants travel to area elementary schools and read to the students.
 
Lafayette concluded its season on Saturday with a 1-0 loss to Navy in the Patriot League Tournament Quarterfinal. The Leopards finished with an overall record of 9-6-4 and a conference record of 3-3-4.
