MADISON, N.J. The Lafayette men's fencing team continued its season on Sunday at the MACFA "A" Round-Robin event hosted by Drew University.
The Leopards men's team competed in matches against Rutgers, Drew and Rowan at Baldwin Gymnasium. The Lafayette men defeated Rutgers 15-12, and were also victorious against Rowan twice, 16-10 and 20-7. The Leopards completed the event with a 3-3 record.
Freshman
Antoine Mannes (epee) and
Benito Hergert (foil) led the Leopards with 15 victories apiece, followed by 14 wins from freshman
Amir Whitehead (foil), nine wins each by junior
Matthew Decker (sabre) and seniorÂ
William Mcalpine (sabre), three wins from sophomore
Riley Anderson (epee) and junior
Grahame Ung (epee).
The Leopards will be back in action on March 6 when they compete at the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association Championships at Drew University.
