MADISON, N.J. The Lafayette fencing team continued its season on Sunday competing at the Drew Invitational hosted by Drew University.

The Leopards men's and women's teams participated in matches against Drew, Hunter and Yale inside Baldwin Gymnasium. The Lafayette men were victorious over Hunter, defeating the Hawks 17-9 in both of their matchups. The men completed the event with a 2-4 record.  The Lafayette women defeated two out of their three opponents, outscoring Drew in both matches by a score of 15-12 in each, and defeating Hunter by 25-2 and 23-4.  The women ended the day with a 4-2 record.

The Leopard men were paced by freshman Chris Davis (foil) with 13 victories. Freshman Benito Hergert (foil) had 12 wins, followed by freshman Antoine Mannes (epee) and senior Matthew Decker (sabre) with eight victories each, senior William Mcalpine (sabre) with seven wins, and junior Grahame Ung (epee) with five victories.  Also contributing were sophomore Riley Anderson (epee) with three wins and senior Sean Fitzgibbon (epee) with two wins.

The Lafayette women were led by freshman Zoe O'Connor (epee) with 12 wins, followed closely by a trio of Leopards with 11 wins each: sophomore Abby Schlotterbeck (foil), freshman Anna Silver (foil), and senior Carolyn Feigeles (sabre).  Junior Danielle Long (foil) had ten victories, followed by sophomore Amanda Manubag (sabre) with nine wins, senior Lily Manetta (epee) and senior Bella Moger (sabre) with eight wins each, senior Elise Hummel (epee) with six victories and freshman Brooke Lippe (sabre) with three wins.
 
The Leopards continue their season on March 6 when they travel to Drew University to compete in the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association Championships.
