MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – Lafayette softball ran into a dominant pitching performance on Saturday night at The Spring Games. Western Michigan's Reilly Galloway struck out 15 Leopard batters and held them to one hit in a 7-0 final on Saturday night.
Western Michigan scored at least one run in each inning but the first and the sixth, led by Alyssa Kramer who drove in four runs with two home runs.
Junior
Grace Harvey accounted for the Leopards' hit, a one-out single in the seventh inning.
Sophomore
Kailee Sawai took the loss in the circle, giving up four earned runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts.
The Leopards will next play Siena (9 a.m.) and Merrimack (11:30 a.m.) on Sunday.
