BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Leopards continued their cross country season Friday morning at Lehigh for the 48th annual Paul Short Run. Both the men's and the women's team finished 46th overall on the day.
For the men's team, senior Bobby Oehrlein finished first for Lafayette, posting a time of 24:42.8 which placed him 204th. Sophomore A.J. Sanford was 301st with a time of 25:19.6. Rounding out the top-five for the men's team were sophomores Alex Gent (345th, 25.33.4), Emil Arangala (389th, 26:13.6), and junior Sean Hamilton (398th, 26:34.4).
For the women's team, seniors Rachel Hurley and Becky Hartman led the way . Hurley placed 260th overall with a time of 21:52.1 and Hartman finished 287th, posting a run of 22:00.8 . The rest of the top-five consisted of junior Emma Lorey, along with freshman classmates Elizabeth Borah and Nina McCloskey. Lorey ended the day in 358th place, clocking a time of 22:38.7. Borah and McCloskey were separated by only 13 seconds with Borah finishing 373rd overall (22:44.4) and McCloskey coming in at 383rd place (22.57.2).
The Leopards will continue their season on Oct. 14th at the IC4A/ECAC Championships.
