BACK TO WHERE IT BEGAN
Lafayette head coach
Mike Jordan spent nine seasons as an assistant coach on the Colgate staff before coming to College Hill. Jordan helped push the Raiders to three straight seasons (2017-20) in which they set record win totals. That time included consecutive 20-win seasons (the first in program history) in 2018-19 (24-11) and 2019-20 (25-9) with an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018-19. Leopards' assistant coach
Sean O'Brien also comes from Colgate where he graduated in 2018. With the Raiders, he was a two-year captain and two-time team MVP who racked up 1,040 points, 301 rebounds and 335 assists while setting school records for career games played (127) and single-season minutes played (1,159). As a senior, he earned All-Patriot League Third-Team honors while ranking fourth nationally in assist-turnover ratio.

Lafayette hosted Jordan's alma mater, Penn, earlier this year and will play his former boss and college teammate, Matt Langel of Colgate, twice in the league stretch of the schedule. Jordan worked as an assistant under previous foe Drexel's head coach Zach Spiker in 2020-21, helping lead the Dragons to their first-ever CAA title and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 25 years.
