EASTON, Pa.- Junior point guard
Abby Antognoli was named the Patriot League Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The Bay Head, N.J. native dropped in a career-high 25 points in the teams' win over UMBC, 59-53.
She shot 6-for-12 from the field with five of those field goals coming from beyond the arc. Antognoli also recorded two assists, two boards and a team-high three steals.Â
Against Big 10 opponent Rutgers, the crafty guard finished with a team-high 15 points, adding two rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block. The economics major currently ranks sixth amongst the top scorers in the Patriot League, fourth in steals and first in assists per game, averaging 4.4 each outing.Â
