EASTON, Pa. – Katie McConnell, who begins her fourth season on College Hill as the head coach of the women's lacrosse program, has inked a contract extension that will keep her on the Fisher Stadium sideline through the 2026 season.
"Katie and her staff are truly committed to the growth and development of our student-athletes," said Lafayette Director of Athletics Sherryta Freeman. "In addition, Katie has continued to emerge as a leader within our department in serving on various committees. We are excited that she has signed an extension and believe we are well positioned for future success."
McConnell is coming off a 2022 campaign which saw a youthful Leopard squad register victories over La Salle and conference foe Boston U.

Katie Chiasson earned a spot on the 2022 Academic All-Patriot League Team.
The 2022 team was also honored for excellence in the classroom, named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad with seven individual members named to the Division I Honor Roll following the season.

The Leopards open their season on Feb. 15 at Delaware.
