Men’s Soccer Announces 2024 Recruiting Class

Leopards welcome eight signees to bolster their roster

EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette men's soccer is thrilled to announce the addition of eight talented signees who will join the team in the fall of 2024. Head coach Dennis Bohn expressed his excitement about the incoming class, highlighting its versatility across many positions.

"This recruiting class brings a wealth of talent and skill to our program. We have players who can contribute in various spots on the field. Players with different technical and physical attributes that will help strengthen our roster in many ways," Bohn said. "It's an amazing group that will provide us with a wide range of options moving forward. As always, we are proud to have found exceptional soccer talent but these young men also bring strong academic backgrounds and high character to our program."

Here is a breakdown of the eight signees:

Cameron Bohn | Forward | Easton, Pa. | Notre Dame

Cameron Bohn, a two-sport athlete at Notre Dame, excelled in both soccer and basketball. As a Crusader, he topped the all-time scoring list with 69 goals and 25 assists. Bohn was recognized as an All-Area Second-Team honoree in 2022 and 2023. He currently plays club soccer for Lehigh Valley United in the ECNL.

Anthony Durling | Left Back | Hamilton, N.J. | Steinert

Anthony Durling, an outside back from Hamilton, N.J., was as a two-year team captain and was back-to-back CVC Coaches Player of the Year at Steinert. Durling's performances earned him two-time CVC First-Team honors, as well as All-Area First-Team and All-State First-Team recognition. Throughout his high school career, Durling contributed 42 goals and 14 assists. He has been a key player for Matchfit Academy, which reached the ECNL National Championship game in 2022.

Gabe Faust | Forward | Cherry Hill, N.J. | Cherry Hill West

Gabe Faust, a two-time Olympic Conference First-Team selection and All-SJ Second-Team honoree, Faust brings his skills to Easton from Cherry Hill, N.J. He also competed in tennis during his time at Cherry Hill West. In 2021 and 2022, Faust won back-to-back conference championships competing in soccer. Faust is a member of Real Jersey FC in the MLS NEXT League, where he showcased his scoring prowess.

Joseph Lee | Defender | Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. | Bergen Catholic

Joseph Lee, a standout defender from Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., joins Lafayette after his high school career at Bergen Catholic, where he was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Lee was also named to the All-League First-Team in 2023. He received additional recognition with all-state and all-county honors in Bergen County. Lee previously played for Cedars Stars Academy - Bergen in the MLS NEXT League and continues to play with Future Soccer Academy.

Cade Maglione | Midfielder | Allentown, N.J. | Allentown

Cade Maglione, a three-sport athlete at Allentown, arrives at College Hill as the all-time leading goal/point scorer in Allentown's history. With 49 goals, 26 assists, and 124 points, Maglione has shown he can be a good addition to the Leopards attack. He served as a team captain, team MVP, and earned CVC First-Team honors. Maglione's exceptional performances extended beyond soccer, as he also competed in golf for three seasons and lacrosse for one. He has been a valuable player for Matchfit Academy in the ECNL, reaching the ECNL National Championship game in 2022.

Riley Martin | Forward | Oreland, Pa. | Springfield

Riley Martin, a four-year letterwinner from Oreland, Pa., was named an all-state selection during his junior year and holds the record for the most goals scored in a single season at Springfield (34). Throughout his high school career, Martin accumulated 77 goals and 44 assists. He led Springfield to a PA State Championship appearance during his senior season. Martin currently plays as a forward for HEX FC Dominion in the ECNL.

James Melnick | Defender/Midfielder | Conshohocken, Pa. | William Penn Charter

Melnick joins the men's soccer program as a three-time All-Inter-AC First-Team honoree and a two-time team captain. In 2023, the defender was named to the Southeastern PA Coaches Association First-Team. The Conshohocken, Pa. native also competed in football and wrestling while at William Penn Charter. Melnick plays his club soccer for HEX FC Dominion in ECNL.

Jackson Vajda | Defender | Bethlehem, Pa. | Northampton

Vajda comes to College Hill as a two-sport athlete at Northampton, competing in soccer and basketball. The defender/midfielder was a crucial part of his team's 2023 EPC title. Vajda scored 52 goals his senior year to claim the all-time career record with 116 goals in the EPC/LV Conference history. Vajda was named the 2023 EPC League MVP and the Lehigh Valley Live 2023 Boys Soccer Player of the Year. In addition, he was named to the PIAA All-State Team and a United Soccer Coaches All-American. Vajda plays his club soccer for HEX FC Dominion in ECNL.
