EASTON, Pa. -Â Lafayette's
Raffi Fragomeni was tabbed as the 2025 Patriot League Field Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning. Fragomeni and junior defender
Lena Thedrian were added to the 13-member Academic All-League team.
On Tuesday afternoon, Fragomeni secured All-Patriot League First Team laurels for her conference second-best 1.36 goals-against average. The Biology major's senior campaign consists of a league-best seven shutouts and five wins while holding a 3.83 cumulative grade-point average (GPA). On the season, she has a .742 save percentage and was named the keeper of the week on three occasions. Her 1.28 career goals-against average ranks her fifth among all active NCAA Division I goalkeepers.
She is the seventh Leopard to claim Patriot League Field Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and first since Lisa van der Geest was recognized in 2019. The Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year is also the 12th League field hockey student-athlete to earn a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team three times.
Thedrian, the most recent conference Defender of the Week for a hat trick at Delaware on Oct. 31, paces the program offensively. The Hamburg, Germany native has eight goals and five assists under her belt for 21 points in her third campaign on College Hill. The Psychology and Economics double major has a 3.72 cumulative GPA and three defensive saves in 2025.
Both athletes participate in various community service activities with the team each year, such as Lafayette's National Girls and Women in Sports Day clinic, multiple field hockey youth clinics/camps and Gigi's Playhouse (a down syndrome achievement center).
The Maroon and White champion the following promotions during their home games through donation campaigns, social media pushes and campus outreach: Morgan's Message, Pancreatic Cancer Awareness (PanCAN), Athlete Ally and Youth Day.
The defending Patriot League champion Leopards earned the second seed in the 2025 Patriot League Championship for the third-straight season, complete with an 11-6, 5-1 PL record.
On Thursday at 2 p.m., Lafayette will face third-seeded Bucknell in the semifinal round, held in Washington, D.C.Â
