EASTON, Pa. - Field hockey placed four Leopards, including Goalkeeper of the Year,
Raffi Fragomeni, on the all-conference list as announced by the Patriot League office on Tuesday afternoon.
First team laurels were given to Fragomeni,
Makenzie Switzer and
Lena Thedrian.
Fragomeni, a Mountain Lakes, N.J. native, started and played in all 17 contests thus far in 2025. With her experience in the net, she faced 95 shots and made 69 saves for a conference second-best 1.36 goals-against average. Her senior campaign consists of a league-best seven shutouts and five wins following her initial Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year title. On the season, the Biology major has a .742 save percentage and was named the keeper of the week on three occasions. Her 1.28 career goals-against average ranks her fifth among all active NCAA Division I goalkeepers.
Switzer is a mainstay in the Lafayette defensive lineup, helping hold every one of this year's opponents under 14 shots on goal and eight corners. She spent over 1,049 minutes on the turf and contributed two assists for two points and one defensive save.
Thedrian, the most recent conference Defender of the Week, paces the program offensively. The Hamburg, Germany native has eight goals and five assists under her belt for 21 points as a junior. She has three defensive saves in 2025.
Josephine van Wijk was tabbed All-Patriot League Second Team as a senior. Van Wijk has also started in every contest, recording five goals and three assists for 13 points. The Psychology major patrols the midfield and lifted the Maroon and White to a .612 shots-on-goal percentage.
The defending Patriot League champion Leopards earned the second seed in the 2025 Patriot League Championship for the third-straight season, complete with an 11-6, 5-1 PL record.
On Thursday at 2 p.m., Lafayette will face third-seeded Bucknell in the semifinal round, held in Washington, D.C. During the regular season on Sept. 26, the Maroon and White downed the Bison, 2-1 in overtime at Rappolt Field.
Both matches in the semifinal round on Nov. 6 and the 2025 Patriot League Field Hockey Championship Match on Saturday, Nov. 8, will be available live on ESPN+ with Cory Nidoh calling the plays and Gabby DiPaula providing analysis.
