EASTON, Pa. – Senior guard Abby Antognoli was recognized as a Patriot League All-Academic Team honoree for the third-straight season on Monday morning. This accolade follows her recent three-time selection to the All-Patriot League Third Team (3/7).

The four-year starter has played in all 30 games for the Leopards this season and has been a key leader in the locker room. The point guard averages 12.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.9 apg and 1.2 spg and her scoring and assist numbers rank her 10^th and second among her Patriot League foes. In addition to scoring in double figures 20 times in her senior campaign, she sits atop of the conference in minutes played, averaging 36.1 per outing. Her 16-point, nine-assist performance against American (3/8) moved her up in the program's record books to ninth all-time in scoring (1,293 points) and fourth in assists (353).

An Economics major, Antognoli maintains a 3.95 cumulative grade-point average, while being involved in various student organizations and clubs at Lafayette. She's also pursuing a minor in Africana Studies. Recently, she's been serving as the Leopards' SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) vice president and she's an active member of the Oaks Leadership Academy. Antognoli is a six-time Dean's List and Academic Honor Roll honoree and she was Lafayette's Student-Athlete of the Year in 2023.

The 5-7 guard is a member of Empowering Female Athletes (EFA), the Investment Club and the Women in Finance Club. When she's not in the classroom or on the court, she serves as a peer mentor, with the goal of guiding first year student-athletes through the challenges college academics present.

Lafayette returns to action this evening at 6 p.m. as the Leopards take on No. 2 Army in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Tournament in West Point, N.Y.
