EASTON, Pa. – Men's basketball head coach
Mike McGarvey announced the addition of six freshmen and one transfer to the roster for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday afternoon.
Ashton Wallace,
Beckett Currie,
Christian Humphrey,
Luke Azzinaro, Luke Bevilacuqa and
Shareef Jackson are set to enter the squad directly out of high school.

"I am excited to welcome a great group of young men to College Hill," McGarvey said. "Our newcomers bring strong values with them that will help make a positive impact on the court, in the classroom and within the community."
#20 Ashton Wallace | G | Cedar Hills, Utah
Wallace was a three-year varsity guard at American Fork High School. The six-foot-three consistent Honor Roll recipient earned a championship title for 6A Region 4 in his home state and was named the 6A Tournament MVP. He has club experience with the Utah Stars, under coaches Marty Haws and Troy Zentner in Alpine, Utah, where he was an Under Armour finalist. The Cedar Hills, Utah native has one brother, Bennett, and three sisters, Elena, Felicity and Gianna. He helps coach little league basketball and assists children with disabilities in his free time. His family has a history with basketball; Angie Staples, aunt, attended BYU for basketball, uncle and aunt, Drew and Hillary Wallace, attended UVSC for basketball and sister, Elena, plays volleyball at SLCC. Wallace recently spent two years serving a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints mission.
#3 Beckett Currie | G | Camas, Wash.
Currie, a three-year varsity point guard, aided Camas High School to three league championships since 2021-22 and multiple individual game and season records. During his career, he collected 53 wins, made 460 field goals and hit 281 3-pointers, 10 playoff victories and a total of 1,430 points. He secured a game-high 44 points and 12 3-pointers en route to his season-high 675 points and 122 buckets from beyond the arc. Currie was selected to the First Team All-League squad from 2021 to 2024, while being named a WIBCA First Team All-State honoree in his final two years. He was chosen as the conference's MVP as well as the Regional Player of the Year following the 2023-24 winter. He has two sisters, Riley and Nyx, and enjoys working out alongside creating social media content.
#22 Christian Humphrey | F | Grand Rapids, Mich.
Humphrey competed for East Kentwood High School as a three-star 6-9 forward. The program secured a conference championship (11-3) and a district title (18-7) in 2022-23, prior to another district title (17-8) the following season. In 2023-24, he averaged 19 points per game as the OK Red Conference Michigan Player of the Year, a Michigan Detroit News All-State Division 1 honorable mention and an All-League recipient. Humphrey was also listed to the 24/7 Sports Ranking 300. He excelled in the classroom with four years of honor roll and Academic All-State laurels. The freshman was a member of the National Honor Society and earned the President's Award for Educational Excellence last year. Humphrey most recently attended the storied St. Thomas More preparatory school under legendary coach Jere Quinn and had success. He has club experience on the Swish Athletic Club under coach TJ Meerman.
#2 Kai Murdock | G/F | Mount Pleasant, S.C.
Murdock, a transfer from Denmark Technical College and Wando high school, is a 6-6 small forward. At Denmark Technical, he was named the NJCAA Region Newcomer of the Year following a standout first season with the Panthers. He was also added to the Region 10 Second Team after averaging 14.8 points, six rebounds and two assists per game. Murdock played on the varsity squad for all four years with Wando, amassing over 1,000 points in his career as an honor roll student. He was honored as an All-Region recipient (both SCISA and SCHSL) twice. His mother, Casy, was a two-sport athlete for Gonzaga, competing on the volleyball and basketball teams.
#11 Luke Azzinaro | W | Chatham, N.J.
Azzinaro attended Delbarton as a two-sport student-athlete, playing two seasons of varsity basketball and one year of track and field. As a junior, the basketball program won the county championship. Azzinaro averaged 12 points and five rebounds the following year, in addition to closing in on 100 single-season assists. For leading the team in assists, the 6-5 wing earned an All-Conference laurel. In the classroom, he achieved the highest honor roll for all four years and was added to the headmaster's list for three years. He has AAU basketball experience with the New York Rens. Azzinaro is also a Deanest and Kairos religious retreat leader, assisting a club that teaches sports to special needs children. His father, Joe, also played at Lafayette.
#34 Luke Bevilacqua | F | Vineland, N.J.
Bevilacqua, standing at 6-11 and a three-star recruit, spent four varsity seasons with the George School. He averaged 17 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and 1.5 blocks per game. The Vineland, N.J. native holds multiple awards such as First Team All-Friends League, Second Team All-State and the 2022-23 Most Improved Player. The George School has competed in the Friends League, state, PCL and city championships during his time on the court. In terms of club experience, he played for Team Durant and Philly Pride under Wayne Durant and Kamal Yard, respectively. Bevilacqua received four years of honor roll and participated in chess club and advanced woodworking. His step-mother, Katherine, ran cross country for Cedar Crest College. The soon-to-be Economics major also owns his own business called BarberBev, which he worked for to help a local elementary school.
#44 Shareef Jackson | F | Philadelphia, Pa.
Jackson is a 6-8 forward from Roman Catholic high school and was the fourth-highest ranked prospect in Pennsylvania. The four-year varsity starter is the only Roman Catholic student-athlete to have reached 1,300 points and 1,000 rebounds. He also helped the squad to two PCL championships. He was named a First Team All-PCL and All-State honoree twice and was a two-year team captain. The Philadelphia native received three honor roll laurels and a scholar-athlete award. He has club basketball experience with Philly Pride under coach Sandy Tanner and Kamal Yard. His father, Marc, played basketball for Temple and had a prestigious career in the NBA and overseas leagues for over 13 years. Shareef enjoys traveling, hiking and deep-sea scuba diving.
