EASTON, Pa.- Lafayette's
Lena Thedrian and
Raffi Fragomeni were named the Patriot League's Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, on Monday afternoon.
The Leopards improved to 7-3 (2-0 PL) overall with a 5-1 home record, amid a four-game win streak after beating out Bucknell and Dartmouth.
Thedrian was a key playmaker in both contests, assisting on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. She made the assist on both goals, including the overtime game-winner by
Kiley Gallagher, during the 2-1 victory over the Bison on Friday evening. Thedrian played in 58 minutes against the Big Green, keeping the opponents to a total of five shots (zero on goal) and one corner. The Hamburg, Germany native was also the Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 22.
Fragomeni stayed poised in the net to give Lafayette a 2-0 weekend and add one shutout for five on the year. She made four saves against the Bison and was left untested in the Dartmouth win. Her goals-against average is now 1.06 with a .792 save percentage, facing 55 shots through 10 starts. The Mountain Lakes, N.J. native was crowned the Goalkeeper of the Week on Sept. 1 and 22.
Gallagher and
Josephine van Wijk were listed as honorable mentions for their efforts this weekend.
