Lafayette game notes

TRIPLE THREAT
Leopard guards Haylie Adamski, Teresa Kiewiet and Sauda Ntaconayigize are all shooting 41 percent or better from downtown this season.  Ntaconayigize leads the pack, shooting at a conference second best 42.5 percent clip and Kiewiet is right behind her with 42.0 percent (3rd in PL).  Adamski is shooting the deep ball at a 41.9 percent clip (4th in PL).

SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
The Crusaders concluded their non-conference schedule with a 6-5 record and collected a 61-46 loss in their last PL game at Army (Jan. 14). Holy Cross posted an 11-7 record in PL play last season and an 8-5 mark out of the conference.
Saturday marks the 82nd meeting between the Leopards and Crusaders in their respective histories. Lafayette holds an 2-13 record against Holy Cross since head coach Kia Damon-Olson has been at the helm. Lafayette dropped both meetings with the hosts in 2024-25.
Looking at the Crusaders' matchup with Army, Meg Cahalan and Kendall Eddy were the leaders on offense for Holy Cross. Cahalan finished the outing with a team-high 15 points and four rebounds on 6-14 shooting from the floor.  Eddy logged 35 minutes for the Crusaders, scoring nine points on 3-10 shooting and she grabbed a board, a block and a steal. Kaitlyn Flanagan and Mary-Elizabeth Donnelly contributed valuable minutes against the Black Knights as well. Flanagan dished out a team-high five assists and grabbed three rebounds, while Donnelly dropped in five points and snatched a game-high 11 boards.
As a team, Holy Cross shot 32.7 percent from the floor, 23.8 percent from beyond the arc and 77.8 percent from the charity stripe in the loss. The Crusaders rank fifth in the conference in scoring offense (58.8 ppg) and third in defensive rating, only allowing their opponents to score 60.4 points per outing.

LAST TIME OUT
Guards Teresa Kiewiet (20), Sauda Ntaconayigize (14) and Haylie Adamski (12) finished in double figures to lead Lafayette to a 62-49 win over Bucknell on Wednesday. Lafayette's triumph marked its first at Sojka Pavilion since the 2012-13 season (Feb. 16, 2013; 66-61 W, OT). Freshman forward Maddison Krug also had a standout game, recording career highs of 18 rebounds and six blocks.

UP NEXT
The Leopards return to action at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21 for their sixth annual School Day Game. Lafayette will welcome 1,300 elementary students to Kirby Sports Center to watch the Maroon and White take on Boston U.

The Engineering major averaged 22.8 ppg across four games and dropped in a season-high of 25 points and five triples for 55.6 percent shooting from deep.

STARTING FIVE
