Women’s Lacrosse Bested by #6 Navy

Madden scores lone Leopard tally in conference matchup

EASTON, Pa. - Navy, ranked sixth in the NCAA by Inside Lacrosse, defeated Lafayette women's lacrosse, 24-1, on Wednesday evening at Fisher Stadium.

Sophomore attacker Alyssa Chung recorded 10 points on two goals and eight assists for the Mids. Fifteen Navy athletes jotted their names on the scoresheet with five having at least three points.

The Mids tallied 21 unanswered goals through to the third period.

Navy outscored Lafayette 3-1 in the final quarter. Annie Madden, assisted by Isabelle Pohmer, recorded the Leopard goal at 7:53.

The opponents held the advantage in draw controls (18-9), ground balls (24-12), shots (40-16) and clears (13-14 to 7-11).

Lafayette's goalkeeper Kennedy Carr made four saves to bring her season total to 100. Molly Cunningham added one save for the Leopards. Their Mid counterpart, Felicia Giglio, made 10 while Angelina Price and Lila Stachowski recorded one save apiece.

Next up, the Leopards host Senior Day on Saturday at noon against American .
