EASTON, Pa. - Nick Faccone earned a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team, announced on Thursday.

Faccone's junior campaign placed him among the top faceoff specialists in the country. Faccone won 162 battles at the X for a .591 faceoff win percentage, both of which are the best in the Patriot League. Nationally, the Warren, N.J. native ranked 17th and 20th in faceoff win percentage and ground ball percentage (6.21), respectively. 

The junior's most memorable performance came against Mount St. Mary's, when he won 14 of his 16 faceoffs. In a 10-9 win over No. 8/9 Army, he notched a goal and scooped up three ground balls in the program's first win over the Black Knights.

To be eligible for Academic All-Patriot League honors, student-athletes must have a 3.2 or better cumulative GPA while being a starter or a key reserve. A neuroscience major, Faccone sports a 3.68 cumulative GPA and posted a 3.75 GPA in the fall semester.
