EASTON, Pa. - Zack Fereno was hired as Lafayette's Associate Director of Athletic Communications on Tuesday afternoon.

"It is a great day for our department as we officially name Zack Fereno as Associate Director of Athletic Communications," said Courtney Svetik, Director of Athletic Communications. "Having worked alongside Zack during his time as an assistant here, we know firsthand the dedication, energy and skill he brings to the table. We are eager to see him excel in this new role and continue elevating our media coverage."

Since February, Fereno previously worked as an Associate Director for Penn's athletic communications department. In his role, he was the primary media contact for men's soccer, women's basketball, men's and women's swimming & diving, baseball and men's golf.

Fereno spent three years as the athletic communications assistant at Lafayette, beginning in summer 2023. During his time with the Leopards, he served as the primary contact for volleyball, men's soccer, women's basketball and men's lacrosse. He also assisted the department with content creation across the College's 23 Division I programs. In addition to his duties in the communications division, he aided men's soccer with training sessions, development and scouting as a volunteer assistant coach in 2024.

I'm excited to once again work with Lafayette's exceptional student-athletes, coaches and athletic staff members on College Hill."

Before joining the Maroon and White, Fereno interned with Tunnel Vision Sports, where he wrote more than 30 sports articles for the Detroit-based media company. Outside of collegiate athletics, he served as a youth soccer coach for Soccer Shots in Phoenixville, Pa.

Fereno graduated from Arcadia University in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management and a minor in Media Communications. He was a four-year member of the Division III men's soccer program. While in Glenside, he worked in Arcadia's athletic communications office and assisted with game day operations. In March of 2023, he was bestowed with the Sport Management Distinguished Achievement award.
