BETHLEHEM, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - A win today gave Lafayette yet another berth into the Patriot League Field Hockey Tournament as the Leopards shut out rival Lehigh 2-0 at the Mountain Hawks' Goodman Campus.

Junior Carolyn Rodichok (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) scored the eventual game winner with her second goal this season in an unassisted effort with 21:11 left in the first half. The Leopards' second goal came off the stick of freshman Jen Stone (Newtown, Pa./George School) with 29:05 left in the second half. Stone is second amid the leading goal scorers with seven goals and two assists.

Junior goalkeeper Amy Cohen (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) recorded her third shutout of the season while needing to make only 3 saves behind a stellar defensive effort.

Lafayette outshot Lehigh 11-8 and improved its record to 8-9 overall and 3-3 in the Patriot League. Lehigh finishes its season with a 7-10 overall record, 1-5 in the Patriot League.

Lafayette finishes the regular season on Sunday versus Vermont at Metzgar Fields at 1:00 p.m. The Leopards will then travel to Holy Cross for the Patriot League Tournament on Nov. 3-4.
