Richmond (7-5) scored two second half goals to post a 2-0
decision over Lafayette on Monday in non-conference men's soccer action at the UR Soccer
Complex.
Following a scoreless first half, Richmond senior forward Nate Adams got the Spiders on the board at
78:52, controlling a pass from freshman midfielder D.J. Tognarelli and depositing the game-winning strike.
Richmond added to its advantage at the 88:50 mark when junior forward Cam Letke took a through ball from senior
back Craig Ziadie and blistered a shot inside the near post, beating Lafayette keeper Craig Schroeder
(Cranbury, N.J. /Princeton). Schroeder, who was named Patriot League Player of the Week prior to Monday's game,
finished with four saves.
For the game, Richmond outshot Lafayette 19-5.
Lafayette (2-9 overall, 1-1 Patriot League) returns to Patriot League action on Saturday when the Leopards travel
to Lehigh for a 1 p.m. match.
