The Lafayette men's lacrosse team notched its second Patriot League win of the season with a 7-6 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday. The win also moved Lafayette's overall record (6-5, 2-2 Patriot League) above
.500.
Lafayette and Holy Cross were tied 6-6 going into the final quarter when junior Morgan Battle (Princeton, N.J./The Hun School) connected for the game-winner with 3:52 left in the
fourth. Battle, junior Kevin Bromby (Ipswich, Mass./Governor Dummer) and sophomore Ted Blackburn (Sea Cliff, N.Y./North Shore) led Lafayette in the scoring
department, each with two goals apiece. Junior Drew Stotler (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) added the Leopards' other goal.
Junior Duncan Woodard (New Canaan, Conn./St. George's) continued his strong run in goal for Lafayette, allowing just six goals in 60 minutes.
The Leopards return to action on Friday at 4 p.m. when they host Sacred Heart.
