Lafayette Head Coach Fran O'Hanlon

On the game...

"I thought we got off to a good start in the second half. They are a good team and they run a great motion offense, but I thought we did a good job defensively."

"Coming in we knew that we had to be scrappy, and we had to be tough because they test all of your defensive principles. If you have a weakness they will find it."

"We were playing at their pace early on, and in the second half we had a lot more success at our pace."

On Army's players post graduate obligations...

"Coming in I thought about that, but on the floor we are competing. In this league there are two teams that might be defending our country in a time of war."

On peaking at the right time...

"I like the way we are playing. One of the things you always want to do is play well in February. If you play well in February it gives you a chance come playoff time. It is hard to just turn it on in March."

Lafayette Player Quotes

Junior Guard Justin DeBerry

On the game... "We were not crisp on offense early on. We just were not moving sharply, but defensively we did a good job."

On outrebounding Army...

"They were not looking to fast break that much so we could send three and four guys to the offensive glass. In the second half we did a good job at just crashing the glass and getting second chances."

On Army's players post graduate obligations...

"I went to prep school with Andy Smith (Army guard), and I was talking to him before the game about the situation overseas. He is unsure how he will be involved after graduation, and that makes you step back and think about the sacrifices that those guys are making."

Junior Forward Mike Farrell

On Playing Holy Cross...

"They (Holy Cross) are a huge team. It is a good sign that we rebounded well today because we have to do that on Saturday. I think we all did a good job of finding people and blocking them out and moving them out. "

Army Head Coach Jim Crews:

On the game...

"I do not think we are a very physical team. I thought they (Lafayette) did a good job on the boards. I think they got key rebounds. They do a good job defensively, and we put so much pressure on ourselves because our offense gives us no cushion."

"I think we played pretty good defense. We took some inside things away and some drives away, but as the game moved on our attention to detail weakened and they exploited us."

On the season... "We have been very resilient all year."
