ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. (www.lafayette.edu) - Junior attacker Jill Marvin (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) netted a career-high three goals and seven different Leopards scored, but Lafayette came up short in a 13-12 loss to Monmouth in St. Petersburg, Florida on Sunday.

Jennifer Stone (Newtown, Pa./George School) continued her torrid play for Lafayette (0-6, 0-1) with two goals and two assists. Erin Gallagher (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock) also notched two goals to go along with three assists, and Kim Maron (Blue Bell, Pa./Springside) scored two goals and dished for one assist.

Leopards Fallon Cunningham (Bangall, N.Y./Millbrook School), Katie Layng (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) and Lauren Ricca (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown) all broke into the 2003 scoring column as well. Ricca tallied one goal and a pair of assists. Cunningham and Layng also netted one goal each.

Lafayette continues its trip in Florida and will face the University of Connecticut on Wednesday.
