EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Bryan Laut has joined the Lafayette men's soccer program as an assistant coach.
Laut comes to College Hill from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass., where he served as the head men's coach for three seasons. He posted a three-year record of 22-30-3, making him the third-winningest coach in the 43-year history of the program. Laut guided the 2001 team to the Northeast-10 playoffs and a semifinal appearance in the ECAC Championships.
"We're very pleased with the addition of Bryan to the staff," said Lafayette head coach Dennis Bohn. "His head coaching experience is a tremendous asset to our program and we look forward to the impact he is going to have here, particularly from a recruiting standpoint."
A 2000 graduate of Assumption, Laut was a two-time All-Division selection and won the team's special contribution award as a senior. Following graduation, he assumed the assistant coaching position for the 2000 season.
Laut, who holds USSF National B and Youth Licenses, has served as a staff coach at several soccer camps and was the director of Assumption's soccer camp.
Lafayette won the 2003 Patriot League Tournament championship, its fifth tournament title in the past 10 years, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in school history.
