Four Men Complete Successful Campaign At Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Freshman Shaun Adair made the eastern long jump finals and junior Tyler Jones medalled in the shot put to headline the Lafayette men's outing at the 111th annual Penn Relays. The Leopards sent two throwers and two jumpers to Philadelphia, Pa. for the historical event.

After making the long jump finals, Adair finished eighth overall with a 23' leap in the Friday's final field event. Also on Friday, Jones posted a 53' 5" mark in the eastern division of the men's college shot put competition. He medalled in the event, finishing fifth overall and just under three feet shy of winner Paul Applegate (Rutgers).

Junior Steve Ekema-Agbaw notched a 46' 4" mark in the eastern triple jump event, placing tenth overall on Saturday. Meanwhile, senior Steve Malloy took 16th in the college men's javelin (174' 9").

The remainder of Lafayette's track and field team competed on Saturday at the Lehigh Games in Bethlehem, Pa.
