EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Leopards competed in two meets on Saturday, the All-American Meet at East Stroudsburg University and the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton.
At the All-American Meet, freshman Kennedy Miller captured the victory in the hammer throw, throwing 152' 11". Miller also enjoyed a second-place finish in the shot put with a 41' 3.75" put. Classmate Ava Reese claimed third in the shot put, putting 41' 2.25".
Senior Isabella Allen vaulted 10' 6.25" in the pole vault for third overall.
On the track, sophomore Lilly Bradfield snagged second in the 400 meters with a final time of 57.93 followed by junior Gabby Buber in third with a time of 58.03. Senior Julianne Gallo achieved third in the 400-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line at 1:09.34. Junior Bridget Shaver collected third in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:55.17.
For the men, junior John Liedtka took home the victory in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 14.90. Classmate Harrison Rosen enjoyed two second-place finishes in the 100 meters (11.04) and 200 meters (22.18). Sophomore Josh Wagner and senior Cole Chukoskie earned first (4:02.67) and second (4:03.17) in the 1500 meters, respectively.
In the field, sophomore Jack Larson claimed first in the pole vault with a 15' 11" final vault. Senior Benjamin Hill reeled in third in the pole vault, vaulting 14' 5.25".
At the Sam Howell Invitational, freshman Katelynn Barthold secured No. 6 all-time in the 800 meters with a final time of 2:13.40 for third place. Junior Ava Severino stays at No. 5 all-time in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:58.11, finishing fourth. Sophomore Anya Kazemi collected eighth in the unseeded 5,000 meters with a final time of 17:40.51.
For the men, freshman Hunter Parsons captured the victory in the 800 meters with a final time of 1:53.15. Senior J.P. Pfisterer earned eighth in the 800 meters, crossing the finish line at 1:54.30.
The Maroon and White will compete at the Rutgers Relays and Bison Outdoor Classic on April 11.
