Lafayette cross country traveled the short distance to Lehigh University on Friday to take part in the 34th annual Paul Short Invitational. The Leopards raced more than 40 teams from across the nation at the Mountain Hawks' Goodman Cross Country Course.
Freshman Ryan Stasiowski finished first for the Leopards in the men's 8k race with a time of 26:38 for 192nd place. This is the third straight race Stasiowski has led the men. The team finished 41st overall.
On the women's side, sophomore Rose Kennedy finished the 6k course in 22:55, good for 136th place. Kennedy also finished first among the Leopards two weeks ago, when the team hosted Lehigh. The women's team also came in 41st place.
The Leopards will return to their home course at Metzgar Fields to host the Leopard Invitational on Oct. 13 at 10 a.m.
