VAN CORTLANDT PARK, N.Y. - The Leopards competed at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Friday. Sophomore Kendall Collier and senior Justin Brown took the lead for the Leopards, pacing the pack and bringing home eighth and 14th for the women and men, respectively.
For the women, Collier snagged 25th out of 235 competitors with a final time of 21:59.8. Senior Elizabeth Borah followed closely behind in 28th, finishing with a time of 22:02.0. Rounding out the top five were sophomore Anya Kazemi (52nd, 22:29.3), junior Ava Severino (68th, 22:44.8) and freshman Hazel Calway (89th, 22:55.9).
On the men's side, Brown secured 27th out of 225 individuals with a final time of 25:08.1. Senior Cole Chukoskie enjoyed a 65th-place finish with a time of 25:40.1. Freshman Ethan Buck (111th, 26:18.1), senior Titan Casey (140th, 26:39.5) and sophomore David Whitford (150th, 26:48.1) closed out the top five for the Leopards.
Northwestern and Brown took home the team victories for the men and women, respectively. Iona's Tayla Gunton collected the individual victory for the women and Patrick Cantlon from Northwestern finished first for the men.
The Maroon and White will finish up the regular season at the Patriot League Championships hosted by Lehigh on Oct 31.
