BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The women's and men's cross country teams earned sixth and ninth at the Patriot League Championships on Friday afternoon. Seniors Elizabeth Borah and Justin Brown led the way for the Leopards, both securing 28th overall out of more than 100 competitors in each race.
For the women, Borah reached the finish line in 21:43.3 to take home 28th. Junior Ava Severino collected 38th with a final time of 22:00.2. Sophomore Anya Kazemi (40th, 22:05.4) and freshmen Hazel Calway (54th, 22:26.0) and Zoe Cimo (22:35.5) rounded out the top five.
In the men's race, Brown finished with a time of 25:36.6 to achieve 28th. Senior Cole Chukoskie reeled in 38th with a time of 25:48.5 and sophomore Cole Scattergood ran 26:53.7, earning 79th. Closing out the top five were senior Titan Casey (80th, 26:57.0) and Ethan Buck (91st, 27:21.0).
Army enjoyed the team victory for the women with their own Charlotte Richman leading the way with a first-place individual win. Navy secured the team title for the men led by Justin Mumford claiming the individual victory.
Next up, several individual athletes will compete at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on Nov. 14 at noon.
