LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Lafayette men's golf team finished seventh out of 12 schools competing in this weekend's Bucknell Invitational hosted by Bucknell University. Sophomore Tyler Ostrovsky and freshman Michael Curcio led the Leopards with top-10 finishes to open the season.
Ostrovsky placed fifth with 4-over-par 144, one stroke behind third place. Curcio shot a 6-over 146 to tie for eighth.
Freshman Chip Culp sank a 156 in his first collegiate outing while sophomore Clay Solomon finished two strokes behind his teammate with a 158.
Senior Steven Melnic rounded out the Leopards with a 162.
The Leopards finished with a combined 602 (42-over-par) during Friday and Saturday. Lafayette will return to the greens on Sept. 19 for the Colgate Fall Invitational in Hamilton, N.Y.
