EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette head football coach Frank Tavani was honored by the Easton UNICO chapter, as well as the city of Easton and Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Tavani was named the recipient at the 27th Annual Carnevale Banquet in Easton on Saturday evening.
"I'm honored and humbled by the recognition from the UNICO Easton Chapter," Tavani said. "It was a privilege to be honored alongside the Amato Brothers. I've enjoyed calling Easton my home for the last 24 years and look forward to many more to come."
Tavani was named the Man of the Year by the Easton UNICO chapter for his work as the head football coach at Lafayette. He was also granted a Certificate of Commendation by the mayor of the City of Easton for his commitment to the residents of Easton.
In addition, Pennsylvania State Representative Robert Freeman awarded the ninth-year head coach with a citation from the House of Representatives for his exemplary record of services and contributions.
Tavani was noted for his three consecutive Patriot League titles from 2004-2006, as well as his 22-8 Patriot League record over the past five seasons.
