IRVING, Texas – The Leopards placed four student-athletes on the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. Lafayette football stands out as one of just 23 institutions in the nation to have slotted student-athletes for the honor in each season since the program's inception.
Graduating seniors
Dylan Aguilera,
Reed Collins,
Tighe Cummiskey and
Phillip Peiffer represented the Leopards. Aguilera and Cummiskey were key special teams contributors throughout their careers, including their senior seasons. Collins started 12 games at right tackle in 2025 and 33 games during his career, helping push the offense to churn out a 1,000-yard rusher each of the last three seasons. Peiffer played in 28 career games and started every game during the 2025 season while ringing up 32 tackles, including five tackles for loss.
Celebrating its 20
th year, the NFF Hampshire Honor Society has recognized 23,605 student-athletes from 692 schools since 2007. The 2026 class, which includes a record 2,633 players from 369 schools, represents the largest group in the program's history and underscores the sustained academic achievement taking place across all levels of college football. Selections, must have maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher throughout their college careers.
The Leopards are currently nearing the end of the spring season, wrapping it up with the Maroon-White Spring Showcase on Saturday at 11 a.m.
