EASTON, Pa. - With five games in three days, this weekend is a big one for Lafayette athletics. Luckily, LSN All-Access has its subscribers who can't make it up to College Hill set with wall-to-wall coverage from Thursday to Saturday night.
The action begins Thursday night from Kirby Sports Center with Lafayette's volleyball team taking on archrival Lehigh. The Leopards resume Patriot League play after they took a break from league action with their Tuesday matchup vs. NJIT. Dan Mowdy and Matt Panto will have the call with first serve set for 7:30 p.m.
On Friday night, LSN All-Access is live from the Metzgar Athletic Fields Complex, where the Leopard women's soccer team has a crucial early league-season matchup with Bucknell. The Leopards are coming off a solid road result this past Saturday, a scoreless draw with Holy Cross. Lafayette stands at 6-5-1 on the year, the six wins marking the most in a season under head coach Mick Statham.
Saturday is one of the biggest days of the year for LSN All-Access, as it provides live coverage of all three Leopard contests that day.
The Lafayette field hockey team starts the slate with an important contest against Bucknell. The Leopards are 1-0 in the league season following a convincing 5-0 win over Colgate last weekend. Bucknell comes to College Hill with an identical 5-6 overall and 1-0 league record as the Leopards. Dan Mowdy and Bill Rappolt are set to give the call with gametime scheduled for 12 p.m. at Rappolt Field.
At 12:30 p.m., LSN All-Access and LSN-TV partner with espn3.com and ESPN GamePlan, to hit the road with the Leopard football team to New York City to take on Columbia. The Lions comes into Saturday's matchup with a 2-1 record following a 42-14 win over Princeton last week. Gary Laubach and Mike Joseph '88, along with John Leone down on the sideline, will have the call from the Big Apple. LSN All-Access will also have full post-game coverage with head coach Frank Tavani and select student-athletes following the game.
Finally, a pair of perennial Patriot League powers cap off a jam-packed weekend on LSN All-Access when the Lafayette men's soccer team battles American Saturday night at 7 p.m. The Leopards stand at 5-3-2 on the season, 1-1 in the Patriot League. American stands at 5-4 on the year, 2-0 in Patriot League play. Dan Mowdy and Matt Panto will have the call from Oaks Stadium.
