The men's and women's teams closed out their regular season with a great performance at the Lafayette/Rider Invitational at the NYC Armory.
On the men's side, sophomore Chris Pregler qualified for the IC4A Championships in the 800m. Pregler finished third with a time of 1:54.61.
Other individuals who had some outstanding performances were senior Kyle Clayton and sophomore Nick DeRosa in the 200m.
Clayton finished third in the 200m with a time of 22.19 while DeRosa was right behind him in fourth with a time of 22.21. It was a personal best for DeRosa.
Bradley Williams finished third overall in the triple jump with a distance of 46' 5 1/4" while Chris Parker was sixth in the 1000m run at 2:30.83, a personal best.
The men's 4 x 400m relay closed out the night with a season-best clocking in at 3:30.38 for a second place finish. The relay team was comprised of DeRosa, Williams, Adam Ballester and Sean Casey.
On the women's side, junior Jennifer Kihm earned Lafayette's lone victory with a win in the pole vault. Kihm jumped 11' 3 1/4" which was a personal best.
Freshman Brooke Kohler was right behind her teammate with a second place jump of 10' 10".
Junior Margaret Bruno-Metzger placed second in the mile run with a season-best of 5:04.21.
Sophomore Lauren Kelly had a personal best in the 5000m (18:15.93) while placing third. Senior Rose Kennedy finished right behind Kelly in fourth with a personal best of 18:29.46.
The Leopards also placed third and fourth in the 20lb weight throw. Senior Liz Graybill was third ( 48' 4 3/4") and Kelsey Slater fourth (46' 3/4").
Sophomore Stephanie Hazlett had a personal best in the long jump (18' 2 1/4") while placing fifth.
The women's 4x400m relay team of, Kelly Clyde, Adedayo Adu, Megan Matusky, and Kyara Gray closed out the night for Lafayette with a second place finish in 4:03.35.
Lafayette will take part in the Patriot League Championships Feb. 19-21.
