ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Track and field kicked off 2026 at Navy's Wesley Brown Invite on Friday and Saturday and the Moravian Invite at Moravian on Saturday. The Leopards claimed eight Lafayette All-Time Top 10 performances and a school record.
At the Wesley Brown Invite, senior Quinn Worrell surpassed the school record in the mile, crossing the finish line at 4:07.98. Worrell earned third place overall.
Junior John Liedtka garnered third in the 60-meter hurdles with a final time of 8.33. Classmate Alexander Caba earned fifth in the 60 meters with a time of 7.02. Caba reached No. 3 all-time in the 200 meters, finishing in 21.85. Sophomore Kaseme Leckie joined Caba, claiming No. 9 all-time in the 200 meters with a time of 22.18.
Senior J.P. Pfisteter reeled in No. 6 all-time in the 500 meters with a time of 1:04.95, taking home fourth, while senior Roman Conca snagged fifth in the 400 meters (50.16).
The team of Conca, Pfisterer, Caba and junior Dexter DeMarco achieved No. 8 all-time in the men's 4x400-meter relay, finishing with a time of 3:18.83. The relay secured second place.
In the field events, junior Ivan Tejada garnered second in the shot put, putting 52' 7.5" for No. 5 all-time.
Sophomore Jack Larson reached No. 2 all-time in the pole vault with a 16' 0.75" vault, reeling in fifth. Junior Andrew Harrison enjoyed a third-place finish in the triple jump (43' 2.5").
Senior Liam Sawian placed fourth in the heptathlon, scoring 4,610 points.
For the women, freshman Katelynn Barthold took home third in the 800 meters, breaking into the all-time top 10 at No. 9 all-time in the 800 meters with a time of 2:16.71. Following right behind at No. 10 all-time, classmate Faye Carnemolla crossed the finish line at 2:16.75, earning fourth.
Sophomore Anya Kazemi secured fourth in the 3000 meters with a final time of 10:21.86.
The team of junior Gabby Buber, Carnemolla and seniors Elena Malone and Alexa LaSasso collected third in the women's 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:00.12.
Freshman Sophia Agner enjoyed a third-place finish in the high jump, jumping 4' 11".
Freshman Kennedy Miller snagged third in the shot put (41' 8") and fourth in the weight throw (46' 9.5") while classmate Ava Reese putted 40' 3.5" for fourth in the shot put.
In the Moravian Invite, senior Kira Marr secured fifth in the 3000 meters with a final time of 10:41.06.
Sophomore J.T. Cook claimed fourth in the long jump, leaping 20' 5.75".
The Maroon and White will head to The Armory in New York City on Jan. 23 for day one of the Dr. Sander Scorcher.
