EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette's field hockey team received one vote in the 2011 Kookaburra/NFHCA Divison I Preseason Poll, announced this week. In 2010, the Leopards collected five votes in the preseason poll and were also recognized in the first week of the season.

Seven of Lafayette's opponents were named in the poll, including North Carolina, which ranks second in the nation and garnered 14 first place votes.

Lafayette begins its 2011 season on Sunday when it hosts James Madison at noon at Rappolt Field.
