Women Finish Third in Leopard Invitational

Easton, Pa. - The Leopard men and women cross country teams competed in the Leopard Invitational this morning at the Metzgar Athletics Complex. 12 men's teams and 14 women's teams competed in the race. Rosey Willey led the Leopards, finishing sixth out of 165 runners on the women's side. The women finished third, while the men finished 11th.

Willey crossed the finish line in 22:32.79, less than a minute off the first place finisher. Freshman Alexa Deemer finished 20th with a time of 23:03.83, while junior Grace Watters came in at the 23:29.49 mark.

On the men's side, sophomore Thomas Day led the Leopards, finishing in 30th with a time of 26:63.05. Senior Sam Brinton was the second Lafayette runner to cross the finish line, completing the course in 28:25.27.

Lafayette will host the Patriot League Championships on Nov. 2, beginning at 11 a.m.
