Cross Country Competes at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

Bethlehem, Pa. - The Lafayette women's cross country team competed in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships today in Bethlehem. The team finished in 21st in the 29-team field. Freshman Alexa Deemer led the Leopards with a time of 21:32 in the 6K race.

Senior Rose Willey was the second Leopard to cross the line in 84th place with a time of 21:58. Followed by junior Grace Watters with a time of 22:40 and freshman Isabella Maita finished in 23:08. Senior Elizabeth Troisi (23:32) and junior Simran Bains (24:03) rounded out the Leopards finishers.

Thomas Day and Sam Brinton competed in the men's 10K race, finishing in 33:30 and 34:52 respectively.

Villanova won both the men's and women's races, to win the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals.
